Prime Minister Keir Starmer faced sustained criticism during Prime Minister’s Questions on Wednesday (11 February), as Conservative leader Kemi Badenoch renewed attacks over government judgement and recent political controversies.

Badenoch accused the government of scandal-ridden leadership, claiming the Prime Minister “has no plan… can’t even run his own office”. She also questioned the appointment of senior figures linked to safeguarding controversies.

Starmer defended his record, stating: “I delivered a landslide victory… I’m fighting to change our country.” He highlighted economic progress, including falling inflation, interest rates, and waiting lists.

The debate comes amid fallout from the Peter Mandelson–Jeffrey Epstein controversy. Starmer previously acknowledged he “regret[s] appointing” Mandelson, accusing him of having “lied repeatedly” during vetting.
