Barbados Prime Minister Mia Mottley has secured a third election victory after the Barbados Labour Party (BLP) won all 30 seats in the House of Assembly, according to state broadcaster CBC Barbados.

The result extends Mottley’s political dominance and reinforces her international profile as a leading Caribbean voice on economic reform and climate diplomacy. The election outcome removes opposition leader Ralph Thorne from parliament.

“Our mission first and foremost is to stop poor people from being poor and to remove injustice wherever it exists to create opportunities for people,” Mottley said in a victory speech on election night.

Key developments:

• BLP secured all 30 parliamentary seats in the 2026 Barbados general election.

• Mottley pledged continued focus on economic stability and cost-of-living pressures.

• The government aims to strengthen Barbados’ global diplomatic and policy engagement.

• Opposition figures highlighted concerns around domestic security and infrastructure.
