Presidents Kassym-Jomart Tokayev of Kazakhstan and Aleksandar Vučić of Serbia reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral relations on Friday (27 February) marking 30 years of diplomatic ties. The leaders highlighted support for sovereignty, international law, and ongoing political and economic reforms.

Key developments include:

• Growth in bilateral trade and expanded cooperation in energy, transport, agriculture, healthcare, digital development, and artificial intelligence.

• Launch of direct flights between Astana and Belgrade, along with educational, cultural, and humanitarian exchanges.

• Signing of 10 intergovernmental agreements, covering healthcare, justice, AI, digital transformation, agriculture, science, and cultural cooperation.

• Joint initiatives on environmental protection, interreligious dialogue, and support for UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Both Presidents expressed confidence that these agreements will advance practical cooperation and strengthen their countries’ strategic partnership in 2026 and beyond.
