Large-scale demonstrations erupted across the United States on Saturday (28 March) as the No Kings movement held its third nationwide rallies, protesting against policies enacted by US President Donald Trump. Organisers cited opposition to the war in Iran, federal immigration enforcement, and the rising cost of living as key motivators.

Protests were reported in nearly every major city, including New York, Washington DC, and Los Angeles, with crowds marching through central streets, occupying public landmarks, and holding effigies of Trump, Vice President JD Vance, and other administration officials.

Outside the United States, Americans living abroad kicked off the day’s demonstrations alongside their neighbors in France, Portugal, Germany, Italy and Greece. A massive, although unrelated, demonstration against the far-right also took place in the United Kingdom.
