US President Donald Trump revisited his concerns about the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) and allied contributions amid tensions surrounding the Iran conflict. Speaking at a press conference on Monday (6 April), Trump described NATO as a “paper tiger,” asserting that the alliance has not provided adequate support during key operations.

Trump also singled out South Korea, Japan, and Australia, noting that the US maintains significant troop deployments in those regions.

Regarding the relationship between the US and NATO, Trump referenced his long‑standing interest in Greenland, saying, “And you know, it all began with, if you want to know the truth, Greenland. We want Greenland. They don’t want to give it to us.”
