Israel carried out its largest wave of airstrikes on Lebanon since the start of its latest war with Hezbollah, targeting more than 100 sites linked to the Iran-backed group. The strikes hit central Beirut, the Bekaa Valley, and southern Lebanon, including residential and commercial areas.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office clarified that the recent US-Iran ceasefire does not apply to Lebanon, despite Pakistani mediation efforts led by Premier Shehbaz Sharif.

Key developments:

• Israeli operations aimed at pushing Hezbollah from border areas and preventing missile attacks on northern Israel.

• Lebanese authorities, including Prime Minister Nawaf Salam, are seeking to negotiate a separate ceasefire for Lebanon.

• Over 1,500 casualties reported, including 130 children and medical personnel, according to Lebanon’s Ministry of Health.
