Venezuela has signed a series of energy agreements with US and international companies aimed at increasing oil and gas production, as relations between Caracas and Washington continue to improve.

Interim President Delcy Rodriguez said the agreements reflected growing cooperation between Venezuela and the United States following recent energy sector reforms and the resumption of direct flights between Caracas and Miami.

Key developments include:

  • US firms Hunt Overseas Oil Company and Crossover Energy will operate in Venezuela’s Orinoco Belt.
  • BP signed an agreement to develop the Cocuina-Manakin gas field near Trinidad and Tobago.
  • Venezuela has also expanded cooperation with Chevron, Eni, Repsol, and other international energy producers.
  • US envoy Jarrod Agen attended the signing ceremony in Caracas.

Officials said the projects could support regional energy supply amid continued disruption in Middle East oil markets.
