The European Union has introduced a temporary €3 customs duty on low-value parcels worth up to €150 imported from outside the bloc from Wednesday (1 Jul), targeting millions of e-commerce shipments entering the EU each day.
The measure is intended to strengthen consumer safety, improve fair competition for EU businesses, reduce customs fraud, and support wider customs modernisation.
