The European Union and Armenia have signed a new connectivity partnership during their first bilateral summit in Yerevan, strengthening cooperation on transport, energy, digital infrastructure and regional security.

The agreement aligns with the EU’s Cross-Regional Connectivity Agenda and Armenia’s “Crossroad of Peace” initiative, with both sides aiming to boost trade, investment and regional links. The EU also launched new investment initiatives involving digital infrastructure, semiconductor skills and innovation projects.

Leaders additionally welcomed progress on Armenia’s visa liberalisation roadmap and enhanced border cooperation with Frontex. The EU also confirmed the first deliveries of security assistance to Armenia under the European Peace Facility, valued at €30 million.
