US President Donald Trump said a proposed agreement involving the United States, Iran and several Middle Eastern countries had been “largely negotiated”, with final details still under discussion.

In a Truth Social post published from the Oval Office, Trump said he held talks with leaders from Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar, Pakistan, Türkiye, Egypt, Jordan and Bahrain regarding “all things related to a Memorandum of Understanding pertaining to PEACE”.

Trump added that he also spoke separately with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, saying the call “went very well”.

He stated that “final aspects and details of the Deal are currently being discussed” and claimed that, under the proposed agreement, “the Strait of Hormuz will be opened”.

The comments come amid ongoing negotiations linked to Iran’s nuclear programme, sanctions relief and efforts to extend the current ceasefire framework.
