The fragile ceasefire between the United States and Iran has come under renewed pressure following a series of military exchanges across the Gulf region.

According to US Central Command (CENTCOM), American forces intercepted four Iranian drones heading towards the Strait of Hormuz and subsequently struck radar installations in Sirik and on Qeshm Island, citing concerns over regional maritime security.

Iran condemned the strikes as a violation of the ceasefire and responded with missile attacks targeting US military facilities in Kuwait and Bahrain. Authorities in both Gulf states said the attacks were successfully repelled.

Key developments:

  • CENTCOM said four Iranian drones were intercepted near the Strait of Hormuz.
  • Iran reported missile strikes against US-linked facilities in Kuwait and Bahrain.
  • Bahrain and Kuwait said incoming attacks were successfully countered.
  • Ceasefire negotiations remain stalled amid disagreements over proposed terms.

The latest incidents highlight ongoing tensions in the US-Iran conflict, which continues to affect regional security, energy markets and international shipping routes through the strategically important Strait of Hormuz.
