Chad has accused Sudan of carrying out an air strike against a military convoy more than 100km inside Chadian territory, prompting authorities to raise the alert level along the eastern border to its highest level.
Chad said the alleged strike occurred in the Ennedi region and caused no casualties. Sudan’s Foreign Ministry rejected the accusation, saying its armed forces respect neighbouring states’ sovereignty while carrying out operations to protect Sudan’s security.
