Russian President Vladimir Putin and Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko met in Novo-Ogaryovo on Saturday (29 Aug) to review Russia-Belarus relations, with discussions centred on trade, investment, technology and the Union State.

President Putin said bilateral trade reached US$52 billion in 2025, with a further 12.5% increase recorded during the first half of 2026. He also highlighted Russian investment and cooperation in high-technology sectors, including microelectronics.

President Lukashenko said both governments had resolved most outstanding issues and expressed confidence that joint efforts would strengthen cooperation across key industries.
