French President Emmanuel Macron and Iraqi Prime Minister Ali Al-Zaïdi have agreed to deepen the Franco-Iraqi strategic partnership during talks in Paris on September 13–14, 2026.
The joint declaration highlighted cooperation on regional security, economic development, energy, defence and cultural preservation, with both countries reaffirming support for sovereignty, international law and diplomatic solutions.
