UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan have signed a Joint Declaration on a Strategic Partnership in Yerevan, strengthening bilateral relations grounded in shared democratic values and international cooperation.

The agreement builds on the 2023 Armenia–UK Strategic Dialogue and reaffirms commitments to democracy, human rights, rule of law, sovereignty, and territorial integrity, alongside support for a rules-based international order.

Both sides also emphasised ongoing efforts toward regional peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan, welcoming the Washington Peace Summit Declaration and initiatives to improve regional connectivity.

The partnership sets out cooperation across three core areas:

  • Defence and security, including cyber resilience, border security and hybrid threats
  • Economic growth, trade, investment and regional connectivity
  • Governance and democratic resilience, including elections, anti-corruption and media freedom

The framework includes annual strategic reviews and coordinated delivery mechanisms, with implementation subject to national laws and resources.
