Ghana and the United Kingdom have signed a new £215 million UK-Ghana Partnership aimed at supporting economic growth, investment, trade and education cooperation.

The agreement was signed during the Ghana-UK Investment Summit in London by Christian Rogg, British High Commissioner to Ghana, and Sabah Zita Benson, Ghana’s High Commissioner to the UK.

The partnership focuses on expanding educational opportunities, improving trade access for Ghanaian businesses, attracting private investment and supporting industrial development.

President John Dramani Mahama said Ghana’s economy was continuing to recover following recent challenges linked to inflation, debt pressures and investor confidence.

Mahama also highlighted a stronger sovereign credit outlook, easing interest rates and a more stable Ghanaian cedi as signs of improving economic conditions.
