Türkiye and South Korea have reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral relations following talks in Seoul, according to Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan.

Fidan said both countries agreed to expand trade relations, increase mutual investment and pursue joint initiatives in strategic sectors. Discussions also covered regional and international developments, including issues affecting the Asia-Pacific and the Middle East.

  • Plans to strengthen trade ties and boost cross-border investment.
  • Cooperation discussed in nuclear energy, transportation, defence industry and advanced technology.
  • Continued coordination on international platforms including the United Nations, G20 and MIKTA.
  • Exchanges on global governance and challenges facing the international system.

Fidan also addressed students at Korea University and highlighted the historical ties between the two countries, saying their partnership would continue to develop on the basis of mutual benefit.
