The United States has declined to renew the US-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA) in its current form, beginning formal renegotiations with Canada and Mexico over one of North America’s largest trade agreements.
US Trade Representative Jamieson Greer said Washington would seek changes rather than extend the 2020 agreement unchanged, while officials said the aim is to conclude talks without unnecessary delay.
