Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney visited Jeddah for the first visit by a Canadian prime minister to Saudi Arabia in 26 years on Thursday (9 Jul), where he met Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman to strengthen bilateral cooperation.
The two countries announced 13 commercial agreements and memorandums of understanding worth more than $1 billion, covering trade, artificial intelligence, energy, critical minerals, health technology, infrastructure, education and defence.

- Canada will establish a resident Defence Attaché in Riyadh.
