Russian President Vladimir Putin addressed the plenary session of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives (ASI) forum, “Strong Ideas for a New Time”, in Nizhny Novgorod, highlighting innovation, technology development and social initiatives as priorities for Russia’s future development.
Putin said proposals presented at the forum would be considered for inclusion in national development plans, covering areas including healthcare, family support, youth opportunities, space exploration and emerging technologies.
Key developments from the forum included:
- ASI’s 15th anniversary and its role in promoting strategic projects and regional development initiatives.
- Discussions on artificial intelligence, robotics, autonomous systems and distributed energy.
- Proposals from participants across Russia and 30 foreign countries, according to Putin.
- Plans for a future Atlas of New Professions examining emerging civilian and military-related skills.
Putin also called for greater business involvement in social investment, education, healthcare infrastructure and youth programmes, stating that individuals and families should remain central to national policies.
