The United States, Morocco and Israel have reaffirmed their commitment to the Abraham Accords following talks in New York on Wednesday (16 Sep) between US Ambassador to the United Nations Mike Waltz, Moroccan Foreign Minister Nasser Bourita, and Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar.
The joint statement said the three countries would deepen diplomatic, economic and security cooperation while advancing regional integration and strengthening bilateral relations.

- Morocco and Israel confirmed plans to upgrade diplomatic missions to full embassies and exchange ambassadors.
- Direct flights between the two countries are expected to resume before the end of 2026.
- Investment protection and double taxation agreements are targeted for completion by the end of 2026.
- The United States and Israel reaffirmed their recognition of Moroccan sovereignty over Western Sahara and support for Morocco’s autonomy proposal.
The countries also agreed to expand cooperation in trade, technology, energy, agriculture, tourism, innovation and regional security, while pursuing further high-level visits.
