Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed’s Prosperity Party has secured another parliamentary majority following Ethiopia’s 2026 general election, according to official results released by the National Election Board of Ethiopia.
The party won 438 declared seats, exceeding the 274 required to form a majority. Voting was not held in the Tigray region and parts of Amhara because of security and political conditions.
