South Korea and Argentina have agreed to expand cooperation on critical minerals, signing a memorandum of understanding (MOU) focused on the lithium value chain during a summit between President Lee Jae Myung and President Javier Milei in Buenos Aires.
According to National Security Adviser Wi Sung-lac, the agreement provides for policy and investment information-sharing, encourages bilateral corporate investment, and supports joint projects spanning lithium exploration, mining and related activities.
