The United States and Iceland reaffirmed their strategic partnership during talks in Reykjavik, with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Icelandic Foreign Minister Þorgerður Katrín Gunnarsdóttir on Tuesday (6 Oct) highlighting cooperation on NATO, Arctic security, defence and investment.
Both officials said discussions covered regional security, the High North, the North Atlantic and opportunities to expand economic ties in sectors including geothermal energy, data centres, pharmaceuticals and digital infrastructure.
