President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has reaffirmed Türkiye’s support for Lebanon’s sovereignty and territorial integrity during talks with Lebanese President Joseph Aoun, saying Ankara is prepared to contribute to future international efforts to support the country’s security after the current UNIFIL mandate ends.
Erdoğan said Türkiye would continue supporting the Lebanese Armed Forces, strengthen Lebanon’s institutional capacity, and provide humanitarian and technical assistance. He also welcomed ongoing dialogue between Lebanon and Syria.
