French President Emmanuel Macron has announced €23 billion ($27bn) of investment at the Africa Forward summit 2026 in Nairobi, Kenya, outlining cooperation in energy transition, agriculture and artificial intelligence (AI).

He described Africa–France relations as a “partnership of equals”, stating the initiative could generate 250,000 jobs across both regions. African and French business leaders, including Aliko Dangote, attended alongside firms such as TotalEnergies and Orange, while CMA CGM pledged €700m for Mombasa port upgrades.
