The US military has carried out further strikes on Iran following renewed attacks in the Strait of Hormuz, according to US Central Command (CENTCOM).

CENTCOM stated the operations responded to continued Iranian aggression against commercial shipping, targeting surveillance systems, air defence sites, drone storage and minelayer capabilities.

In retaliation, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said it launched missile and drone strikes on US-linked facilities in Kuwait and Bahrain, warning of further escalation if ceasefire terms are breached.

  • CENTCOM cited a Panama-flagged tanker attack as part of its justification for strikes
  • IRGC claimed operations targeted eight US military-related sites across Kuwait and Bahrain
  • Bahrain and Kuwait condemned the reported strikes; damage remains unconfirmed

The exchanges come amid fragile ceasefire negotiations, with tensions continuing across the Gulf region.
