The European Union, alongside Australia, Barbados, Brazil, Canada, India and Kenya, has launched the Partners for Multilateralism (P4M) initiative during the United Nations General Assembly High-Level Week in New York.
The declaration commits participating countries to strengthening multilateral cooperation, supporting international law, promoting peace and sustainable development, and advancing reforms to global institutions to address emerging international challenges.

- Partners for Multilateralism was launched by seven initial co-sponsors on 21 September 2026.
- Signatories reaffirmed support for the UN Charter, international law, human rights and the peaceful settlement of disputes.
