Singapore President Tharman Shanmugaratnam has reaffirmed the strength of Singapore–Malaysia relations during his first state visit to Malaysia, highlighting growing economic cooperation and long-term bilateral partnership.
Speaking during an audience with Malaysia’s King Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar, President Tharman said initiatives such as the Johor-Singapore Special Economic Zone and the Johor Bahru–Singapore Rapid Transit System (RTS) Link demonstrate both countries’ commitment to expanding economic integration and regional connectivity.
